Fast food giant McDonald's has found itself in hot water over one of its new burgers. The Italian burger hit stores last week as part of McDonald's new summer menu.

The new menu features the Italian Stack, which is made up from two layers of 100% beef patties, mozzarella, onions, crispy onions, a rich tomato sauce, lettuce and a smooth cheese sauce all served within a freshly toasted tomato-and-basil flavoured bun.

There is also a Crispy Chicken Italiano burger - a delicious crispy chicken fillet topped with a juicy tomato slice, mozzarella, a basil pesto style sauce, red onion and lettuce served up in a soft freshly toasted ciabatta style bun.

Some people rushed out to try the new burgers, with many saying they taste like 'lasagna'. Many fellow McDonald's customers have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the Italian Stack and Crispy Chicken Italiano with some calling it "great", "yummy" and saying they are a "big fat yes".
