Celtic midfielder Matt O'Riley could be handed a Denmark call in time for the World Cup next winter. The 21-year-old was brought to Parkhead in January and has adapted instantly to Ange Postecoglou 's style of play.
His early displays have impressed the Celtic faithful and O'Riley has also caught the attention of Denmark. The former MK Dons man qualifies for the Scandinavian nation through his mother and has indicated he'd accept a call.
And O'Riley could even be in the squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar next winter. He explained: "I played for England youth teams, but at the same time I do feel quite Danish.
My mum’s Danish, I can speak a decent amount, I can understand a very good amount so in that sense I don’t think it’s something that’s out of the question at all."And if I did get a call-up from Denmark then I don’t think I’d be saying no."And the Danish FA's talent development manager, Flemming Berg, has revealed that the 21-year-old has already trained with their youth teams.He said: "We have had contact with Matt.
