Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jermaine Jenas believes Phil Foden can be the long-term heir to David Silva's throne at Manchester City, insisting he has now become the "first name on the teamsheet".
Jenas made the admission after watching Foden score twice and claim an assist to help City beat Brighton 4-1 at the Amex Stadium on Saturday evening, lifting them up to second in the Premier League table.
In a devastating first half performance, which saw Pep Guardiola's side three goals to the good by half time, Foden scored twice, although he did not know too much about his second, with Gabriel Jesus' goal-bound effort deflecting off him and into the back of the net.
