Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert issues urgent warning over one-off £150 bill payment

Next month, millions of people who own and rent homes in the UK will receive one-off £150 payments. The one-off payments will be given to homes in council tax bands A, B, C or D in England and Wales - roughly 80 per cent of properties. Scotland residents will also be entitled to the £150 if they are in bands A to D - but they'll also qualify if they currently get a council tax reduction as well.
The payments are due to hit bank accounts from next month, and MoneySavingExpert has reminded households about who will get it automatically.
