Manchester United favourite Ander Herrera set for emotional return as PSG contract termination agreed

Ander Herrera is set for an emotional return to Athletic Bilbao in the summer transfer window after agreeing to terminate his contract with Paris Saint-Germain two years early.

The Manchester United favourite only played a minimal role for the French side last season and was told earlier in the summer that he was free to find a new club during the window.

It is understood Herrera, 33, will return to former side Bilbao, the club he spent three successful years at before moving to Old Trafford earlier in his career. Herrera was initially insistent that he would see out his final two years in the French capital, but has been frozen out in the French capital as PSG look to urgently offload some of their squad before deadline day.
