Man rushed to hospital with serious head injury after being battered in Fife

Lochgelly at around 10.25pm last night. Shocked locals reported seeing a big police presence in the area last night with an ambulance also spotted.

Police are treating the attack as a 'serious assault' and have called on any witnesses to come forward.The man has since been released from hospital.A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We received a report of a serious assault at a roundabout near the B9149 at the A92, Fife, around 10.25pm on Saturday, 24 October."A 27-year-old man was taken to Victoria Hospital with what was believed to be a serious head injury.
