A rapist who assaulted a woman in her own home whilst her child slept in the next room has been jailed for 10 and a half years.

Matthew Cawston knew his victim and had visited her home to help with a domestic emergency, Preston Crown Court heard. However, when the job was finished, the 27-year-old complained he didn't want to cycle home in the rain and asked if he could stay over, according to Lancs Live.
