The 32-year-old was rushed to hospital following the incident in the early hours. He suffered leg and foot injuries. In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said officers were called to an address on Ravenoak Road in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport, after two men entered a property and stole car keys.
