Man due in court today charged in connection with death of Lanark man Peter Kirkwood

A man will appear in court today charged in connection with the death of Lanarkshire man Peter Kirkwood. The 24-year-old's body was found at at an address in Lanark following a disturbance at around 1.55am last Saturday, July 16.

Cops have now confirmed he has been charged and is due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court today. A spokesman from the force told Lanarkshire Live : "A 44-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of Peter Kirkwood on July 16. "The 44-year-old man is due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court later today."A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
