Manchester City have a clearer idea of their 2022/23 schedule following the release of the Premier League fixture list. The Blues start their title defence at West Ham, and end it away to Brentford, with key clashes against Liverpool in October and April.
The season takes a break from November to December for the World Cup, meaning there will be plenty of midweek games to fit in even though the campaign begins earlier than usual and ends a fortnight later.
As well as targeting a fifth Premier League title in six years, City will also be looking to make this the season they finally win the Champions League.
They will be top seeds for the group stage, and will be targeting another year in the knockout stages.
