Zara McDermott has spoken out when consent for sex should be taught to children. The former Love Island star appeared on Good Morning Britain on Friday to discuss her new BBC Three documentary in which she recalls her own terrifying experience of sexual assault as a teen.

She revealed the horrific sexual assault she was subjected to after she was attacked by a ‘schoolboy’ around the age of 15. Zara's one-off documentary, Uncovering Rape Culture, sees her retrace the steps of the incident as well as head into British schools to hear from students and talk about sexual violence.
