It resulted in poetry and stories being put on billboards around Paisley in early 2021. It was also put into a book, which has now been donated to Paisley Heritage Library.Karen also worked on The Lost Language of Making with the Star Project in Paisley, again during lockdown. As part of Renfrewshire Council’s Townscape Heritage and Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme 2 (TH.Cars2), Karen worked with members of Star Project to create poetry inspired by historical Scottish making terms. The collection has also been handed over to the library and Karen said she is proud the lockdown work is being preserved for future generations. She said: “I could have gone along and handed it over myself but I didn’t feel that was right.

I wanted it to be for the ones who took part as well.“If I’m touched by my work being in the Heritage Library then it’s double for them.“A lot of them said they didn’t think anybody would ever read what they’d written.
