Deborah James has beaten the odds time and time again during her battle with cancer, but one thing is for sure, she certainly knows how to fundraise.

The Bowel Babe smashed her original target of £250k for Cancer Research UK and has now surpassed more than £6.5 million, three weeks after announcing she was receiving end-of-life care.

But, true to her trademark honesty, the 40 year old campaigner today told The Sun that she refuses to let cancer beat her this Jubilee weekend.

She joked that she doesn't want anyone, let alone Meghan Markle, to "steal her thunder". Deborah said: "I'm determined not to die over the Jubilee weekend, I don’t want Meghan stealing my thunder. "I haven’t worked so hard to raise cancer awareness and money to help find a cure, only to miss out on another front page when I go."
