Lil Nas X made a splash earlier this week when he poked fun at his Nike “Satan Shoes” controversy in a trailer for his new single, “Industry Baby.” Now, the song has arrived.
It’s produced by Kanye West and Take a Daytrip, and features Kentucky rapper Jack Harlow. He drops another sly reference to the Nike legal drama on the song’s second verse, rapping: The music video is set in “Montero State Prison,” where Lil Nas is sent after losing his Nike lawsuit.
In conjunction with the video, he launched a bail fundraiser seeking to bring “change in how the criminal justice system works.” “Industry Baby” is set to appear on Lil Nas X’s long-awaited debut album, MONTERO, which is expected to drop this summer.
