Ayrshire lifeboat crew were called out yesterday to reports of missing children on Ayr beach.Troon RNLI raced up the coast to the scene on two separate callouts of a report of a missing child as thousands flocked to the shore to soak up some Bank Holiday sunshine.The crew were first scrambled to the packed beach at 2.23pm on Monday, May 31 as temperatures soared to the mid-twenties.Troon RNLI launched their inshore and all-weather lifeboats were launched as part of a search.A rescue helicopter from Prestwick was also sent to assist the Ayr and Ardrossan Coastguard Rescue Teams.Thankfully, while en route to the scene it was confirmed that the child had been found and both lifeboats returned to Troon.But less than two hours later at 3.55pm,.
