After delighting young readers with tales of ginger beer and buns for nearly a century, a ‘re-appraisal’ of the work of Enid Blyton has seen the English Heritage link it to ‘racism and xenophobia’.
Blyton’s books have been among the world’s best-sellers since the 1920s and have been accused of being racist in the past, even during Enid’s lifetime.
