Perthshire Advertiser he is committed to pressing ahead with the £118 million Cross Tay Link Road (CTLR). Senior business leaders in the region had voiced concern the major route may be under threat as councillors seek to cut costs when they set a new capital budget later this month.Perthshire Chamber of Commerce believe construction of the route is vital to protect the future growth of Perth and the surrounding area.

The CTLR is designed to take traffic out of Perth city centre and link the A9 over the River Tay to the A93 and A94 north of Scone.
