Lanarkshire cop cars allegedly attacked by man with 'machete' in late night incident

A man armed with a large knife allegedly ran at police vehicles and hit them with the blade in a late night incident in Motherwell at the weekend.Police had attended Watson Street in the town following a report of a male in possession of a knife around 11pm on Sunday, May 1.When they arrived at the scene they encountered the individual but he allegedly ran towards the police vehicles holding the weapon, before striking them with the kitchen knife and then throwing it at one of the vehicles.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
