Dancing On Ice Kye Whyte is set to make his return to the ice for this weekend's show, he announced on Monday. The professional BMX rider, 22, who is paired with American skater Tippy Packard, was forced to pull out from last weekend's movie night due to a knee injury that he sustained in rehearsals.

Taking to social media, the dancing duo revealed that Kye's injury was actually worse than expected as they detailed that he had 'dislocated his knee. '  Addressing their fans from Bovington Studios, Tippy took to her Instagram Story to announce their news.

She said: 'Hi guys, we just got some news. So we were thinking that it was not a big deal and Kye just kind of fell. But guess what actually happened?'  'I dislocated it.

We'll be skating this weekend but we'll be really careful', Kye added. Tippy continued, as she ensured fans of the show that it would be safe for Kye to go ahead with this weekend's performance.  Video: Phil and Holly explain the new voting procedure with a QR code on Dancing On Ice (Birmingham Mail)Jess Phillips Pays Tribute To Jack DromeyBoris Johnson apologises for "the things we simply did not get right" after Sue Gray report finds "failures of leadership"The Teacher official trailerEmmerdale fans thrilled as character returnsSue Gray's initial findings: The key points explainedEx-MP Chris Mullin shouted at by protesters during Birmingham pub bombings inquestA Police Blue Tent Is Erected In Tangmere Road In EttingshallWest Mids Mayor Andy Street Speaks On Transport At The Commonwealth GamesSpoiler warning: ITV Trigger Point - viewers spot theme with Vicky's character as she tells character to be quietTraffic Cone Walks Off After Olly Alexander Suggested He Could Be David Dickinson On The Masked.
