Furious parents have blasted school staff who confiscated their kids' warm coats because they were not branded with the school badge.

Pupils at Bishop Heber in Cheshire are only permitted to wear the expensive branded school jacket on school grounds - which when added to the cost of other branded items can cost a family up to £100 per child.

Photos taken by fuming parents show staff milling around outside in cold temperatures in warm overcoats while some children are just in jumpers.

One mum claims her asthmatic son was put into isolation after going to get his confiscated coat because he was cold, reports CheshireLive.
