KFC opens 55 more drive thrus across the UK - but urges people not to use them

Over the past few weeks, chicken giant KFC has gradually been reopening stores. On Monday, 100 of the fast food chain's restaurants in the UK were open to the public, with some of them operating a drive thru service.

However, KFC has now made the decision to open 55 of its drive thrus, in a bid to make it easier for NHS and key workers to get food if they're not able to order a home delivery.

Posting on Twitter, KFC said: "We've been working hard to responsibly reopen our restaurants and now we're spreading our wings a little further. "In line with government advice, we've decided to open the drive-thru lanes at 55 of our UK restaurants that are already open for delivery."
