Kesha says she 'almost died' after egg freezing procedure caused 'horrifying' outcome

Pop sensation Kesha has revealed that she “almost died" while she was going through the procedure of having her eggs frozen due to a “horrifying” complication which led her to be hospitalised for several days.

The 36 year old made the decision to freeze her eggs last year as she wanted to take her reproductive health “into her own hands”.

The procedure of freezing eggs is not an uncommon one and sees eggs extracted from the ovaries and then frozen to be used at a later date.

Freezing eggs preserves natural fertility and many celebrities have gone through the process, including Love Island’s Amy Hart and Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison.
