It is not the first heartbreaking death the family has had to endure. In 2009, the couple's son Jett died at age 16 in an accident while the family was on vacation in the Bahamas.
Jett was autistic and prone to having seizures. While the family was on holiday, the teen had a seizure in a bathtub and hit his head, which resulted in his death.
In 2014, Travolta talked about the loss of his son in an interview at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, describing Jett’s death as “the worst thing that’s ever happened in my life.” John Travolta announced the death of his wife and fellow actress Kelly Preston.
