KATE Garraway was forced to apologise after giving "misinformation" on Good Morning Britain over asylum seekers. The presenter, 54, made an error when she was chatting to Minister for Justice and Tackling Illegal Migration Tom Pursglove on the ITV show.
Kate, co-host Adil Ray and their guest were talking about Prime Minister Boris Johnson's recent decision to send asylum seekers over to Rwanda.
Thousands would be flown 4,000 miles to the small African nation within months as part of a plan to take back control of Britain’s borders.
During the discussion Kate said: "We took 250 refugees from Rwanda into the UK last year. "There must have been a reason why we felt they had a case for safe harbour here and that rankles hard with people who think, 'hold on, we're sending people to Rwanda that are already in fear'." .css-16e4f55{margin:16px 0;}.css-1czxmma{background-color:rgba(252,239,255,1);margin:16px 0;}.css-1tapza8{padding:20px 15px;}.css-1bk4jdt{padding:20px.
