John David Washington, Samuel L. Jackson & More Promote Their Broadway Play 'The Piano Lesson'
justjared.comThe cast of The Piano Lesson are hyping up their upcoming play! Samuel L. Jackson, John David Washington, Danielle Brooks, Constanza Romero, Michael Potts, April Matthis, Trai Byers, and Ray Fisher joined director LaTanya Richardson Jackson (and Samuel‘s wife) for the a press conference and photo call held at The Skylark on Wednesday (September 7) in New York City.
The August Wilson play is set in the 1930s in Pittsburgh’s Hill District, where a brother and sister are locked in a war over the fate of a family heirloom: a piano carved with the faces of their ancestors.
Only by revisiting history can the siblings endeavor to move forward. “I feel like I’m in grad school,” John shared during the press conference. “This is an education for me.
