Jodie Comer is now a top contender to play kind-hearted teacher Miss Honey in the upcoming film adaptation of the Broadway musical Matilda.

The Daily Mail reports that the 27-year-old British actress might not be able to take on the role as she’s contracted to shoot season four of Killing Eve and complete work on Ridley Scott‘s medieval drama The Last Duel. Emma Stone was rumored for the role a few months ago but the tides have apparently turned for the Netflix film!

It was recently reported that Ralph Fiennes signed on to play the role of school headmistress Miss Trunchbull, a role in which men in drag have played the part in the stage musical. Matilda The Musical will be directed by Matthew Warchus, who helmed the Broadway and the UK’s
