Loose Women as viewers branded her comments over weight on the show 'fat-shaming'. The 75-year-old former journalist was discussing whether food should be labelled with cigarette-style picture warnings on the hit ITV show on Wednesday afternoon (July 20).
The discussion came after research from scientists at Cambridge University suggested labels that show the risk of illnesses associated with junk food would put people off eating it. "Young women think that being larger is acceptable," she said.
