Andrea McLean is ‘too busy working’ to watch Loose Women

Andrea McLean said making the bold decision to leave Loose Women after 13 years was one of the bravest things she has done in her life so far.

And after presenting on the show for the last time in December 2020, the mum of two, 52, has revealed she doesn't watch the show since her exit. "To be honest, I don’t watch any telly.

I’m too busy working, doing longer and harder hours," Andrea told OK! Despite this, Andrea reassures us of no drama between the Loose Women gang, as she adds: "But I still keep in touch with the ladies. "Denise Welch and I were texting this morning and I’m catching up with her tomorrow.” Since quitting her TV career, Andrea has written a book, This Girl Is On Fire: How To Live, Learn And Thrive In A Life You Love, which she has also made into an app, and we see less of her on screen.

Speaking about changing her career direction to focus on her company with husband Nick Feeney, Andrea admitted her energy has grown more towards her new platform. "I love what I’m doing so much and I just felt ready, and I’ve been trying to keep both going at the same time,” she says of why she hasn’t been back on TV. "My energy has just grown more and more towards This Girl Is On Fire." Andrea also recalled "crying" when she said goodbye to Loose Women, by adding: "The day I left Loose Women, I cried because I was leaving my friends." But she tells us she quickly saw the positives of leaving TV behind her.
