James McAvoy finally confirms secret marriage to personal assistant Lisa after divorcing actress Anne-Marie Duff

JAMES McAvoy has married personal assistant Lisa Liberati after meeting on a film set. The couple started dating after hitting it off as the Scottish actor filmed psychological horror Split in 2016.

He divorced his actress wife Anne-Marie Duff - star of Shameless and The Salisbury Poisonings - the same year. It was rumoured he'd tied the knot with Lisa in 2019, but James hasn't confirmed the marriage until now.

In an interview had with the Guardian, it reads: "They began a relationship a couple of years later and, he confirms, recently got married." Fiercely private James, 42, refused to give away any other details about their nuptials.

The confirmation of his marriage comes six years after separating from Anne-Marie.
