Families have spoken of their heartbreak and confusion after France was added to the quarantine rule list last night.The government announced late on Thursday that people returning from one of Britain's closest neighbours, and most popular visitor destinations, must self-isolate for 14 days on their return.It follows a sharp rise in the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in France of around 66 per cent in the past week.The latest 14-day cumulative figures from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control show 32.1 coronavirus cases per 100,000 people in France, compared with 18.5 in the UK.The decision will affect an estimated 160,000 holidaymakers already in France.The measure is due to come into affect at 4am on Saturday,.
