It’s hard to argue that the late author Anne Rice has had a large impact on the modern image of vampires; instead of dark and creepy castle-dwelling old men, the writer instead helped give popular culture the young sexy vampire with her Lestat de Lioncourt novels for better or worse.
A character was played by Tom Cruise in the 1994 feature film “An Interview With The Vampire,” which also featured actors such as Brad Pitt, Christian Slater, Antonio Banderas, and a young Kirsten Dunst.
AMC, who is famously behind “The Walking Dead” franchise, is developing a bunch of new Rice adaptations and is now promoting their “Interview With The Vampire” series based on her 1976 novel at San Diego Comic-Con and just revealed a new trailer.
