A historic country house in Cheshire has arrived on the market for close to £2 million. The Grade II-listed Hulme Hall, on Hulme Hall Lane in Allostock, Knutsford, is for sale for £1,895,000 after undergoing a huge restoration thanks to English Heritage.

The property, situated on a three-acre plot, boasts seven bedrooms and is believed to originate as far back as the 15th century. Hulme Hall underwent a large-scale redevelopment and restoration back in 2014 under the guidance of English Heritage and the Archaeological Society, as a result of its listed status and significance.

The house is believed to have been the former ancestral seat of both The Grosvenor and The Shakerley families, both of whom were prominent within Cheshire.
