Swizzels is the firm behind some of the nation's most-treasured sweets - including Love Hearts, Drumsticks and Refreshers. The company began making confectionery in East London in 1928 and moved to New Mills in High Peak, just a few miles outside Stockport, in 1940 following The Blitz.
