Police Scotland confirmed the discovery of Carbofuran, a banned substance which can be dangerous to humans and wildlife, on Leadhills Estate in South Lanarkshire.Campaign group League Against Cruel Sports Scotland carried out investigations at the sporting estate where the haul of hazardous substance was discovered in July last year.Police Scotland told the Daily Record the discovery was “extremely concerning”.However further enquiries were stopped after officers found no evidence to link the poison to any person or persons.A spokesperson said: "We are aware of this incident and did investigate.“Forensics identified the substance as carbofuran, an illegal pesticide the use of which has been banned since 1991.“It is extremely concerning that.
