Lowry Arts Centre closed its doors to the public for the first time in 20 years as the pandemic took in 2020. As the centre was forced to shutter, the charity launched an emergency appeal to help keep its services up and running, including community projects, work with schools, and valuable training.
Now, nearly 12 months on, staff are asking for help once again as they continue to fight for the Salford 'hub' in the hopes that it will survive until the public can return.
In a video posted on The Lowry's social media accounts, the centre's development director Gwen Oakden said: "I'm here to talk to you about our emergency appeal."I can't believe I'm going to say this but it has been nearly a year since we launched it and since we had to.
