1  Why is there such a row over the Internal Markets Bill?When the UK leaves the Single Market in January a new legal framework has to replace EU regulations in the new “internal market” of Scotland, England Wales and Northern Ireland.The bill will ensure there are no barriers to trade between different parts of the United Kingdom.It calls for “mutual recognition” so that any goods or services that can be sold or used in one part of the UK can also be in another part of the UK.2 - That sounds harmless?It does, but many of the regulations devised under the EU were administered by devolved governments in Scotland and Wales.
