A man struggling to keep active during UK lockdown ran a marathon in his back garden. Carl Thomas, of Marple, has Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and said he has been struggling since Boris Johnson introduced the lockdown measures in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 35-year-old saw a video on YouTube of another man running a marathon in just his back garden and decided to take on the challenge.
He managed to complete the length of a marathon in 1,406 laps of his garden in six hours. Carl had been training for a marathon in June, in which he was going to run 26.2 miles while pulling a plane for charity.
