Hothouse Flowers frontman Liam Ó Maonlaí has revealed the heartache over the break-up of his marriage shortly after experiencing the joy of the birth of his son.

The singer also told of the highs and lows of fame with the band, and how they spilt after almost seven years of non-stop touring.

In an interview with Brendan Courtney in tonight’s episode of RTÉ’s Keys To My Life, Ó Maonlaí describes the break-up of his marriage to Aoife Tunney as a very painful period in his life.

The couple remained friends after they separated and co-parented their beloved son Cian. ‘Aoife and myself ended up going our separate ways.

An amendment added to the Florida “Don’t Say Gay Bill” will require schools to out LGBT students to their parents. The amendment to Florida House Bill 1557, filed by the Bill’s co-sponsor Representative Joe Harding (R) last Friday, would require schools to out sexually and gender diverse students to their parents within 6 weeks of discovery. The original bill still required disclosure but had an exemption if the disclosure could lead to “abuse, neglect or abandonment.” This exemption was removed in the current amendment. Florida Agriculture Commissioner and Candidate for Governor, Nikki Fried (D), tweeted, “This backwards cruelty must stop.
