This is the hilarious moment a reporter's cat took over an interview on Sky News. And people are loving it. The curious cat belongs to Sky News' deputy political editor Sam Coates who admiringly powered through the segment while his cat tried its best to get its 15 minutes of fame.

Sam was reading an apology from Carrie Johnson, the Prime Minister's wife over partygate which they both have had to pay fines for. READ MORE: How much are Covid fixed penalty notice fines? An amused Mark Austin says, "He's got his cat there with him, which I'm very pleased to see", as he introduces Sam who lets out a wry smile while he battles for screen time with his beloved pet.

Sam eventually has to keep his cat away from the screen by extending his arm, while reading out Mrs Johnson's apology but despite his best efforts the feline friend still manages to make an appearance at the very end.
