The couple ended their relationship two years ago, following 13 years together. They share three young children, two daughters and a son.
Speaking to the Mirror Helen admitted she did not speak to her ex about her plans to go on the show and just wants 'to do her own thing'.
The Coronation Street star has previously revealed that she and Scott, who currently plays for League One side Bristol Rovers, mainly communicate through their parents and avoid arguing in front of their three children.
