Moon - usually known as the 'Harvest Moon' - will be at its brightest in Scottish skies tonight. The Harvest Moon -sometimes called 'Corn Moon' - is the full Moon that happens nearest the autumnal equinox, reports Cambridge Live.

Near the time of the autumnal equinox - usually around September 23- the angle of the moon's orbit relative to the Earth's horizon is at its minimum.
