King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla are all smiles in a newly released picture of them alongside the Prince and Princess of Wales at Buckingham Palace.
Royal commentator Duncan Larcombe believes the foursome are "starting as they mean to go on" in terms of their duties as a family of working royals, as he dubs them "the new Fab Four", implying Prince Harry and his wife have been replaced by his father and step-mother. "We’re beginning to see something that we’ve waited a long time for, something that Charles had been planning all those years prior to becoming King," Duncan explains. "A seamless transition from his mother’s role and a united front – both personally and professionally – with his wife, his son and his daughter-in- law." "This is about Charles and Camilla as the ceremonial force and William and Kate as the glamorous super-couple ensuring that the future is bright. "There was a huge hole left in the royal family when the Queen passed away, and that has now been replaced by the new Fab Four. "Charles and William are the two main international diplomats of the royal family, and they’ve both got a hell of a job to do – respectively and together. They’ve hit the ground running. "We’ll see the foursome hosting world leaders at Buckingham Palace.
We’ll see them dividing up their time to visit as many countries around the world as they can at a time where we also happen to have one of the biggest television audiences ever following the funeral of The Queen." Duncan continues: "The branding we’re now seeing – with this new photograph being an example – is a continuation of what we saw on the balcony at Buckingham Palace during the jubilee.
