Greece striker Giorgos Giakoumakis is being monitored closely after undergoing an MRI scan for a thigh injury, according to reports.

The striker is on international duty with his country having been picked for the squad despite suspension ruling him out of tonight's Nations League clash with Cyprus.

He has 11 caps for Greece and scored in their last game against Kosovo, and if fit he is expected to play some part against Northern Ireland in their final game.

According to multiple reports in his homeland, the Celtic striker flagged up a thigh injury in training and underwent an MRI scan to determine the extent of the problem.
