Tesco home delivery van and stole a box of Budweiser was foiled after an onlooker intervened, told him "don't be a fanny", and handed the beer back to the driver.
Dillon Martin, 22, who was holding a broken bottle, approached Tesco driver Alan McAinsh as he returned to his van after dropping off shopping in Camelon, Falkirk.
Prosecutor Michael Maguire told Falkirk Sheriff Court: "Mr McAinsh had come out of a house and saw two males walking towards his van."He returned to the vehicle with his trolley and trays, put the trays back in the van, closed the shutter, and locked it."Martin approached him and said, 'I want something out of the van.
