After the NBA announced in March that it would suspend its 2020 season due to ongoing coronavirus concerns, ESPN reports that the NBA is reopening team practice facilities as soon as May 1 for players in states and municipalities that are loosening stay-at-home restrictions.  "Teams will be allowed to make facilities open to players on a voluntary basis for individual work, but larger group workouts will still be prohibited," tweeted ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. "In NBA markets that aren't loosening restrictions, league plans to work w/ teams on other arrangements for players." The news comes after states like Georgia, Alaska and Oklahoma are beginning to re-open amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“I’m doing well,” ESPN broadcaster Doris Burke told her colleague and fellow sports icon, journalist Adrian Wojnarowski, on the Mar. 27 episode of his podcast, The Woj Pod. Doris, 54, revealed that she tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus earlier in the month. However, she said that she was recovering and “doing quite well now, to be perfectly honest with you.” She said she noticed the first symptoms on Mar. 11, hours before a game between the Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks. She felt better after taking an aspirin but said the symptoms returned the next day.

NBA star Donovan Mitchell has tested positive for the Coronavirus after his Utah Jazz teammate Rudy Gobert was also diagnosed.
