Utah Jazz player Rudy Gobert is reportedly the first athlete to test positive for the coronavirus. The NBA announced they were suspending the rest of the season on Wednesday night (March 11).

The decision was made after the game between the Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder was postponed following the 27-year-old basketball player being diagnosed with the illness, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported.

Players from the Jazz and Thunder are currently being quarantined inside the Chesapeake Energy Arena. The league has told tams that have played Utah in the last 10 days should self-quarantine.

Ahead of the game, the Jazz announced that Ruby and Emmanuel Mudiay would not be playing due to illness.
