Former Man City midfielder Samir Nasri has said that he would like to see Pep Guardiola take charge of the French national team - despite them becoming World Champions under Didier Deschamps.
France lifted the World Cup for the second time in 2018, 20-years after last winning the trophy in 1998. Nasri retired from international football in 2014, so watched from afar as his national team became World Champions.
However, the 32-year-old wasn’t entirely satisfied with the way that the team won the tournament. "I am happy that [France] won the 2018 World Cup, but there are some flaws," he said on Instagram.
