'Forever 16 boys': Heartbreaking tributes to teens killed in horror Dumfries crash

Heartbreaking tributes have poured in for teenagers tragically killed in a horror crash in Dumfries. Emergency services raced to the two-car crash on the A711 Dumfries to Dalbeattie Road in the early hours of Wednesday, March 16.

Police confirmed three male passengers travelling in a Honda Civic involved in the smash were pronounced dead at the scene. It's understood a fourth male who was in the car is in a serious condition.

The three teens who tragically died in the collision have been named locally as Ian Cannon, Finlay Johns and Tyler Johnstone.Tributes have been paid to the boys, with the news leaving pals and loved ones crushed.Morgan McEwan wrote on social media: "It honestly breaks my heart writing this.

I never thought I’d ever have to write anything like this. It’s so horrible to imagine what Finlay, Ian, and Tyler’s family are going through."Thank you so much Finlay for being there for me since I moved to Moffat and for being nothing but lovely."She added: "So much love for you."Morgan went on to say: "Growing up with Tyler I know what a kind, amazing boy he is, it’s so heartbreaking that someone that you’ve known your whole life is just gone."Everyone is heartbroken and we’ll all miss you so much, we all loved you."I lost contact with Ian once he left school, we had so many silly disagreements but I have so many amazing memories with Ian, I know that others were closer to Ian and I know everyone loved him so much, he will be missed by everyone."It’s so hard to believe the three most amazing boys have been taken away so soon.
