Coldplay have shared a teaser of a new single, which appears to be titled ‘First Time’ – check out the clip below.The 20-second snippet was posted to the band’s Instagram account earlier today (June 7), with the simple caption reading: “first time”.

It would be the band’s first new material since 2021’s ‘Music Of The Spheres’. It also comes with the hashtag #FLIFIL – which fans believe is an acronym for their new album.The video shows frontman Chris Martin standing in front of the Pacific Park amusement park in Santa Monica, California, with the ferris wheel swirling with dazzling lights behind him, while members of the public walk by.Despite the footage being speeded-up, Martin appears to be singing the lyrics to the song in real time. “It feels like I’m falling in love / You’re throwing me a lifeline / Oh, now for the first time / I know we’re not alone,” he sings, over a gushing, pulsing arrangement from the band.Watch the clip here:A post shared by Coldplay (@coldplay)Coldplay have suggested in the past that they would stop releasing albums in the year 2025.
