Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor (2004–2010, 2014–present) and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), and the American television talent competition series American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). Cowell is the principal, founder and chief executive of the British entertainment company Syco.

manchestereveningnews.co.ukHospital chiefs have released a picture of tragic NHS worker Lourdes Campbell who died after a battle with coronavirus. The 54-year-old - known to friends as Des - was a healthcare assistant who had worked at the Royal Bolton Hospital for almost 13 years.
She passed away on Wednesday night after contracting the disease around two weeks ago. Bolton NHS Trust CEO Fiona Noden said Mrs Campbell took a 'quiet, diligent and compassionate' approach to caring for her patients and was a "well-liked and valued member of the team".
